National Athletic
Honors Society
The National Athletic Honor Society is an organization that recognizes, supports and rewards high school student athletes who achieve excellence in the classroom and on the field of play. We encourage and promote good citizenship, sportsmanship, competition, moral character, and friendship among outstanding academic and athletic achievers in high school.
The National Athletic Honor Society believes that your athletic success starts with your education. The intense training, preparedness, and grace under pressure athletes exhibit on the field is furthered by success in the classroom.
The Carl Sandburg Athletic Booster Club is proud to establish a charter in 2024 on behalf of the Carl Sandburg High School Athletes.
Member Expectations

Represent Carl Sandburg High School in a positive manner and adhere to the NAHS expectations and qualities.

Attend the induction ceremony.

Commit to fulfilling 5 service hours every year through the Athletic Boosters sponsored activities.

Attend NAHS general member meetings. Attendance at each meeting is expected, if one is unable to attend a meeting, an email must be sent to an advisor of Executive Board member.

Uphold the values and pillars of the NAHS.

Maintain a GPA of 3.75 (through the end of first semester senior year).
Eligibility Criteria for Membership
To be a Member, you must satisfy all three of the following eligibility criteria:
● maintains a cumulative 3.75 GPA (weighted);
● participates in a High School Varsity athletic program for at least two seasons is eligible
for membership; and
● all active members must complete at least five (5) hours of community service per
school year for the Carl Sandburg Athletic Boosters.
Application for 2024-2025 due December 20, 2024!
