At last night’s IHSA Board of Directors meeting, Dan Le was approved for the Assistant Executive Director Role. He became the 36th individual in the IHSA’s history to hold this title on the administrative staff. Le will be taking over the mentor responsibility of the student advisory committee. I am super excited to get to know Mr. Le and begin working with him.
He has made a great impact on Ottowa Township High School, where he coached both girls’ and boys’ basketball and tennis, and oversaw the school’s student section showdown, which was crowned 3A/4A champions in 2021/2022.
Not only will he be overseeing the IHSA SAC, but he will administer Boys & Girls Tennis, Chess, and Esports. He will also oversee the Three-point Showdown, Do What’s Sportsmanship Committee, Unified Basketball, and the selection of national anthem singers and pep bands at IHSA State Finals. I cannot wait to start working with our new mentor.
